Modern Ethereal Wedding // Longbranch, WA

McKayla + Jonathan declared their love for each other tucked back on a small island in the Puget Sound. It was ethereal, modern and elegant, one of the most beautiful days I’ve ever been a part of. And I was so honored to photograph it.

McKayla and I have been friends for years, so when it came time for Jonathan to propose I was all about dropping hints and letting them know how badly I wanted to shoot their wedding! Fast forward to Mothers Day weekend and everything worked out so perfectly! The weather was great, the venue came together friends and family got to witness it all.

Chesnutis Family Photos

Mothers day weekend was so special this year! It started up in Tacoma, WA where I got to photograph my good friend's wedding. Then I drove down to Portland Oregon to capture Courtney and EJ's newest addition to their sweet family. Carter is one of the sweetest babies I have ever been around! He has a calm temperament and is up for anything, as well as being a total cheese ball of a baby. His smile lights up those baby blues like a summer sky. Congratulations to Courtney - you are the best mom! EJ you and Carter are going to be getting into trouble very soon. And Waffles - you are perfect as usual. <3

For me its about re-living the moment, feeling the anticipation, seeing the tears roll down your cheek when he proclaims his vows to you, the guests clapping for your first entrance as mr. + mrs. All of it.

Who I am - Get to know Jessie

Hey guys, my name is Jessie!

I am the girl behind Jessie Christensen Photography. Im going to start by saying, writing hasn’t been easy for me. In fact, I don’t do it very often at all. I always struggled with reading and processing what I read, let alone forming thoughts into words. Its something that I’ve never been entirely comfortable with, especially since my mom is the queen of grammar and a human spell check machine herself. Sooo the standard is high, and I have a long ways to go.

Lindsey + Zak // Oregon Coast

For the first time in years that I've been to the Oregon Coast, it was sunny. And while I was planning on it being cloudy + rainy the sun did not disappoint. Lindsey and Zak drove out to meet me at Indian Beach, it was a first for all of us so we spent some time getting to know the surrounding area and each other.

Jordin + Jordan Orange County Wedding

Jordin + Jordan, two of the most genuine and life-loving people with the biggest smiles and loudest laughs. They are family, literally though. Jordin is my husbands cousin, and now Jordan is our cousin!

This was the perfect way to start the wedding season. Chad and I flew down to Orange County for the weekend, and left the kids home for some much needed alone time. Chad had the honor of officiating his cousins wedding, and I was blessed enough to capture their love and friendship.

Meet Jordin and Jordan. Jordin is my cousin, and she is marrying Jordan, my soon to be cousin. These two are the out of this world fun! I met Jordan for the first time this Christmas while visiting our family in California. When Chad and I heard that Jordin was dating someone, we know he must be special and potentially "the one". We couldn't have been more excited when we heard about the engagement over the Thanksgiving break.

Genna + Dante

These two people have become so dear to me. Both Genna + Dante and their little man , Emmet started out as clients, then became our friends. We attend the same church and home groups, and I couldn't be more excited to shoot their wedding this July!
