If these photos don't bring on all the motherhood, crazy family time feels I don't know what will! Nick + Jess have three of the most photogenic kids in the world, seriously wait until you see these pictures of them. I felt refreshed after this session, shooting the Hunter family made me want to take on a lot more lifestyle/family sessions. We will see what comes of that, but until then - ENJOY!Read More
The end of summer has me reminiscing on Lauren + Matt's backyard wedding in Ridgefield Washington. This day was filled with lots of family and friends surrounding the bride and groom. Everyone was hands-on for the success of this day, from helping with the decor, making food and serving one and other. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather and memorable moments.
This was the first time I met Lauren + Matthew, it so so clear early on that their friendship ran as deep as their wedding vows.Read More
This one is close to home (literally it was at our house - well my parent's house)! My little sister married her best friend! Mollie + Bobby asked me to photograph their wedding when they got engaged last year and I was honored to capture her big day at her side.
Mollie + Bobby got married in Hockinson, Washington at my parent's barn. There had been months and months of preparation for this wedding with remodeling, tearing down, building up and creating this magical place for their wedding. It all came together on a very hot July day, in the field next to the pond. And as I was taking pictures during the ceremony I couldn't help but take it all in from a different perspective than I had before. But taking pictures for my sister on her big day was one of the most special moments of my life and in my career.Read More
My job goes deeper than taking pictures, it's 100% about making connections and getting to know the people I photograph. At times I feel like I get to be a part of their lives for a season. And for this season of Genevieve's life, I felt a roller coaster of emotions, the kind that as a daughter and young mother myself I feel deeply for Genna. But seeing her with Dante brings me so much joy when they are together you sense Dantes protection for Genna. The protection of her heart and their little family, it gives me goosebumps thinking about it. I have been there for the engagement pictures, the family pictures when I got to meet little EJ, and see the three of them work as a family.Read More
Aleysha is a barista at my local coffee shop, and yes that is where we met. I got to photograph Aleysha + Josh out in the gorge next to the Columbia River last month. We hiked through wildflowers and dodged sheets of rain as we got to know each other.
I cherish moments like this because if it wasn't for Aleysha's boldness of always engaging in conversation with me we would still just be strangers. So next time go out of your comfort zone and talk with someone, meet someone new <3Read More
McKayla + Jonathan declared their love for each other tucked back on a small island in the Puget Sound. It was ethereal, modern and elegant, one of the most beautiful days I’ve ever been a part of. And I was so honored to photograph it.
McKayla and I have been friends for years, so when it came time for Jonathan to propose I was all about dropping hints and letting them know how badly I wanted to shoot their wedding! Fast forward to Mothers Day weekend and everything worked out so perfectly! The weather was great, the venue came together friends and family got to witness it all.Read More
These two people have become so dear to me. Both Genna + Dante and their little man , Emmet started out as clients, then became our friends. We attend the same church and home groups, and I couldn't be more excited to shoot their wedding this July!Read More
